About how to use SDO pin in AD5666

The SDO pin is the serial data output pin that is used for daisy-chaining multiple devices. Daisy-chaining means connecting the SDO pin of one device to the SDI pin of another device, and so on. This way, you can use a single SPI interface to communicate with multiple devices while in a non-daisy chaining mode you will not be able to communicate with both devices using a single SPI interface. You will need two separate SYNC/CS signals, one for each device, to select which device you want to write to.

To better understand your question, may I confirm the following:

1.) Are you planning on using one SYNC signal for both

2.) Where do you plan on connecting each SDO pin

3.) Providing a block diagram would be really helpful. Thanks!

Thank you for reply.
I am trying to use SYNC and SDO that follow schematic.
please see the attached schematic.

I would like to know that when I don't be asserted SYNC, SDO is hi impedance.
Now I connected both SDO, so SDO is conflicted if non selected side isn't hi impedance.

Your block diagram appears to be correct for a multi-s lave non daisy chain configuration. In this mode, the m aster selects the desired s lave by pulling its CS/SYNC line low while keeping other CS/SYNC lines high. This makes the unused device's SDO high impedance, avoiding any potential data corruption issues.
