AD5663RBRMZ: What is conversion rate/Sampling rate of the DAC? it is not available in datasheet.

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: AD5663RBRMZ
Software Version: -

What is conversion rate/Sampling rate of the DAC? it is not available in datasheet. Due to supply issue we are looking for the alternate component with the same specifications. Please suggest.

  • Hi,

The fastest digital update rate varies per DAC device, it is equivalent to the time it takes to complete a single write sequence. In the case of AD5663, a single write sequence is equal to t8 +t4 + 23xt1 +t7 ~= 500ns or 2MUPS (updates per second). However, we need to factor in the settling time of the output. It takes a maximum of 7us for a 1/4 to 3/4 scale output change with +/-2 LSB accuracy. This can be found on datasheet table 3.

Other alternatives to the AD5663, 0 to 5V capable output, SPI, 2 channels and above, see this table. My recommendation is the AD5676R  which comes in a 2.5mm2 WLCSP package.

For additional information on pricing or product availability, we recommend contacting your FAE or local ADI salesperson.
