LTC1592

Question

Hi, 
 I use the LTC1592 converter according to this diagram. The voltage Vref =OUT_STDINP=-10V When I program this DAC in spi in range +5V with a data =FFFE the output voltage is -10V. 
 Why do I have -10V at the output? What does the programming of the range correspond to Table 1 of the datasheet ?

 What is the relationship between Vout and Vref and the programming of the DAC data?

All of the ranges are with respect to a 5V reference, since you are using a -10V reference and programming the DAC to nearly full scale, you will get -10V out. 
 The voltage output is going to be vref (code/2^16) so for a -10 volt reference, vout = -10(FFFE/FFFF)~-10(1) or -10V which is what you are seeing.)
