Hi
I'm wondering about output voltage noise value from VLDO pin of the AD5423? Can we use it to power a precision ADC and MCU?
Best Regards,
Hussein

Hi,
I don't have this data atm, would need to dig up old reports to see if we have them. This LDO was intended for logic supply pins only with its low current capability but if the Iq of the other devices are not within the limit. I don't see a reason why it can't be used as a supply.

Ian

Hi Ian
Actually I would like to power low power MCU and AD7747 from the VLDO of the AD5423, is that good enough from noise perspective or do I need to have an external ultra low noise LDO to power the AD7747. The total power that my circuit needs around 20mA.

Hussein
Hi,
The MCU should have no problem with supplying from the VLDO. Unfortunately, we don't have noise data on the VLDO output so I suggest using a separate low noise LDO for the AD7747 since it is 24bit and very sensitive to noise. you could get more help on the AD7747 on the Precision ADCs forum.
