I am working in a new board which will include DAC AD5449 and a STM32F429 microcontroller from ST.
I have checking the SPI timing diagrams of both devices and I think that they are compatible, except for the speed because STM32 is 45Mhz and AD5449 is up to 50Mhz.
Do you agree with this? Do you see any problem in this communication? Any comment will be wellcome.
I am using SMT23F microcontroller because I have alredy been worked with it and has Ethernet port, wich is a requierement of the project, but if someone suggest any other MCU could be evaluated.
Thanks in advance,
AD5449 is compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and most DSP interface standards, and since the maximum clock frequency is within AD5449's specs, so it should be compatible with you MCU.
Analog Devices has its own portfolio of ARM Cortex M4 MCUs which you can choose from depending on your application. If you can share your system requirements with us, we can help you choose one that fits.
