Hello All,
we are using DAC AD5316R. The Vref is 3.3v
First I perform a software reset with the command 0x60 and then disable the internal reference with the command 0x70 with setting the DB0 as 1.
with this, i expect that the DAC starts using the external Vref 3.3v
so when a digital value of 1023 is sent to a particular channel, then i expect a output voltage of 3.3v.
But, when i write a 1023 digital value, I get only 2.5v
NOTE: The 3.3v to Vref is provided via 1k ohm resistor.
Hi,
I'd like to know more about your application. Can you share your schematic involving the AD5316R? What level is the supply pins?
Where you able to check first if the VREF output follows the internal ref disable command you set?
Best regards,
Ian
Hello iandal,
First-in-place,
Thank you for your response.,
Here by, i have attached the schematics of how the AD5316R is connected in my project.
"Where you able to check first if the VREF output follows the internal ref disable command you set?"
should i enable anything from the device to have the external Vref follow the internal ref disable command?
I found the problem... :-)
I actually was writing to D0 bit while I had to write to the DB0 bit....
I found the solution when i was explaining the problem to one of my friend. (crazy :-) )
Hi!
Well, you should treat your friend for helping you find the problem :) If you encounter other problems feel free to come to us again.
