Reset in AD5370

I was looking at the datasheet of AD5370 (40-channel DAC) and though reset pin has a bar on that and seems to be low active, datasheet says " The reset function is initiated by the !RESET! pin. On the rising edge of !RESET!"

"Note that, because the reset function is triggered on the rising edge, bringing !RESET! low has no effect on the operation of the AD5370."

I do not understand why reset has a bar on top of that if it will not be activated by zero.

    Hi Mich,

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

Following your reasoning, it also wouldn't make sense if we remove the bar as it is not activated by logic high. I think the reason behind this is that since the /RESET pin is triggered on the rising edge, it would start from the LOW logic going to HIGH logic to trigger the reset function.

What would be a good compromise is adding a sign.

I'll forward this to the data sheet authors with the goal of avoiding costumer confusion in the future.
