AD5412 or AD5735 1-5V voltage output

Hello All,

One of my customers is considering utilizing AD5412 or AD5735 DAC with current and voltage driver for their new designs.

His product need 1V to 5V output in addition to 4-20mA and 0-10V output.

AD5412 and AD5735 have 0V to 5V output driver but his requirement is 1V to 5V.

Is there any way to provide 1V to 5V output?

Of course, code conversion from “0 – 4096” to “819 – 4096” by  external MCU could be a solution.

Is there easier way to achieve 1V to 5V output instead of code conversion?

    Code conversion is one method of achieving this.

    Another method is that the AD5735 comes with gain and offset registers that could allow the user to offset the output by 1V during calibration.

    See the following sections in the AD5735 datasheet:

    • Page 32 of the Revision D datasheet (Gain Control and Offset Control)
