AD5360 Eval Board Communication

I am going to be trying to control the AD5360 eval board using MATLAB and I wanted to know if anyone has any experience using the USB port on the Eval board and Matlab to bypass the gui provided by AD.

I am trying to get around using a SPI interface since they require a newer version of MATLAB than I have access to.

    Hi Joshua,

I don't have experience using Mathlab but I can tell you how the GUI software works. When the software loads a .hex file gets sent to the Cypress micro that emulates the SPI interface. I have attached the source code for the hex file which may be some help. Each command sent to the eval board has it's own numeric code, the hex file looks at this an jumps to the relevant subroutine.

The actual transfer of data between the PC USB port and the evaluation board is handled by a Cypress DLL. You may find more information on their website
