About AD7225

Hi there,

I have questions about AD7225.

http://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/AD7225.pdf

I'd like to know the following things.

#1, Does AD7225 have a power-on-reset?If so, what voltage is it?

#2, It looks like that datasheet does not mention the default value of  DAC register. Can you tell me the default value?

#3, I'd like to set the same value for all DAC registers at once. Do you think it's possible?

It seems like that  this device does not have this kind of function. The data should be written by setting A1 and A2 step by step.

Best regards,

Tarzan

  • Hi Tarzan-san,

Apologies for the delayed response. To answer your questions, the AD7225 do not have a POR circuitry. If there is no POR circuitry in the part, the output would take the zero-scale code when starting from cold boot.

You may write any code to each of the DAC channels by writing to the INPUT REGISTER and then update the DAC registers and DAC channel outputs all at once using /LDAC.

I hope these answers your questions. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

    Mark

  • Hi Mark,

    Thank you for your answer.

Let me ask you if there are other questions coming up.

    Best regards,
