AD5142A Variable Gain AN-1264

I am asking about the use of the AD5142A as a two channel variable gain resistor on the AD8421 op amp within the app note 1264. Is there any reason not to use this part in the high precision signal processing into a AD7195? The system will not employ dynamic gain adjustments, but will set a static gain for the duration of measurements. The device appears to have both analog and digital power supplies, I intend to follow that convention. pin 1 on the LFCP-16 is digital ground and pin 10 is the digital voltage. Pin 5 is Vss or analog ground and pin 9 is analog positive power?

Any gaff is my understanding please comment.
