AD5732: High impedance state of SDO-pin

Thread Summary

The user is experiencing issues with the SDO pin of the AD5732AREZ DA-converter not going to high impedance state when disabled via the control register. The support engineer confirmed that the SDO pin is high impedance when disabled, but it is automatically enabled during read operations and then disabled again. No additional configuration is required to achieve the high impedance state.

Hello,

I am using
the AD5732AREZ DA-converter on an SPI bus with several devices. Unfortunately
it seems that the SDO-pin don’t go to High-Z state.

As in the datasheet the high impedance input leakage current of SDO-pin is specified,
there must be a possibility to switch the pin to this state. I tried to disable
the SDO-Output in control register (SDO disable bit == 1) which prevents the IC
to send data at SDO-Pin, but it don’t seem to be in high impedance state
though.

Any hints?

Kind regards,

François PAUL
