Hello AD5689R include Power donw cicruit with normal and three-state output mode. my question is.
This mechanism can be used as a switch, for connect and disconnect DAC to amplifier?
For example DAC is in tree-state,
I set DAC on 2,5V over LDAC pin (time=0),
set powerdown register to normal operation
on output to 10k Load is direct on +2,5V or +5,0 for Gain2 (time=+4,5us ?)
In other words, does it behave the same as when I connect an analog switch to the output?
What will happen for the time of 4.5us?
for clarification.
DAC have slew rate 0,8V/us i.e slew from 0 to 2,5V aproximately 3us.
If I use it externa switch , I can disconnect DAC , set DAC on 2,5V and connect DAC tu summing amplifier With considerably higher slew rate.
Internal switch in DAC.
In DS is "The time that is required to exit power-down is typically 4.5 μs for VDD = 5 V."
I hope most of this time is on awakening and setting the DAC, the switch is faster and so the slew rate will be similar to when using an external switch, for example DG211.
