Request for information on CONFIGURING THE AD5724/AD5734/AD5754

Data Sheet AD5724/AD5734/AD5754 rev.F
CONFIGURING THE AD5724/AD5734/AD5754:
'The DVCC must be brought high before any of the interface lines are powered. If this is not done, the first write to the device may be ignored.' (Page24)

Please provide information on the reason why the above occurs.

A possible reason is that if "the interface lines are powered" before DVCC turns on, the interface lines current affects to DVCC and the power on reset operation does not work properly. This reason is OK ?

If possible, it will be helpful to have them explain in conjunction with the following items.

    Hi,

I'd like to apologies for the delay.

Answering your questions, DVCC is used to power the digital core and the input buffers.

As you can imagine, if the DVCC is 0V, the digital core is off, consequently, any command will be ignored.. but more important, the input buffer protection can be damage as it is connected to DVCC.

Let me know if you have more questions, please.

    Regards,

    Miguel
