AD5781 Daisy Chain

Hi,

Yes, AD5781 does not anymore support daisy chain mode functionality. The only way to use multiple AD5781 is to use multiple CS lines from the master. Is there any chance you can use a 16-bit bipolar output DAC? May I know what will be the application? Thanks.

It's a pity that a remarkable DAC lost parts of its expension ability.

The application is multichannel nano-positioning system which need synchronized montion control. Theoretically the performance is determined mostly by the measurements instead of drivers, so it is possible to use 16 bit DAC but I could not take the risks because not I design the algrithem.

To use multiple CS, I have to switch CS in SPI receive interrupt with the tradeoff 1 interrupt to break the pipeline and uncontrollable timing. Maybe I can try add a spi clock counter to hardware to switch CS when overflow.
