Connection of AD5317R and external reference

My customers are planning to connect the ADR 425 to the AD5317R.
We reviewed this plan and found a sentence that I care about in the data sheet.
"By default, the internal reference is on at power-up."

Can I connect the ADR 425 directly to the AD5317R?
Or does it require FET-SW to temporarily shut off the connection to the circuit?
Thankfully, if it can connect directly, please explain its mechanism.

    We have recently noticed the possibility that external reference can not be connected directly.
    For that reason, we have not been able to examine sufficient circuits.
    In dubiousness, we are planning to connect via a FET-switch (eg ADG 841).
    If a direct connection is permitted with a quick switch, we will try to disable the internal reference immediately after power up.

    I'm sorry. I am not allowed to interrogate why customers chose AD5317R instead of AD5317.
    I recommended AD 5317 to customers. However, my customer has chosen to connect an external reference to the AD5317R.
    I am sorry to ask you a selfish request, but I hope that you will receive useful advice.
