AD5161 : Will the chip will reset if we switching from I2C to SPI ?

We have tried two methods.

1.written the wiper register by i2c and switched it in to spi mode and read through i2c and getting wiper as zero.

2.written wiper by spi and made the chip in to I2C mode and and read by i2c also getting wiper reg as zero.

Will the chip will reset if we switching from I2C to SPI ?

Hi

Are you able to read back the wiper register correctly in the same interface mode while writing followed by readback?

yes. we are able to do so in same interface. We are getting wiper reg as zero when we write by i2c and switching to spi and again to i2c and tried to read back.

Please share the full timing diagrams for both use cases.

Are you using an ADI evaluation board? If not, how are you communicating with the part?

Are there any pull-up resistor on the SDA/SDI and SCK/CLK pins?

What are the status of DIS and CS/AD0 in each case?
