I would like to use AD5522 with no force voltage (HiZ) - measure current mode.
Would you show the diagram of the connection the inernal Rsense to the measurement pins?
When CH EN bit is disabled, SW5 is opened and SW2 is closed. When SW5 is opened, the no pins could connect to current inamps.
(refer to the discription of CH EN bit of Table 26 and Figure1)
It's ok the connection to the external Rsense.
I would like to clarify your application. You are planning to disable the AD552 force channel but want to have the external current measurement? Can you show me a diagram of your desired circuit and I'll try to check if it is feasible by configuring the AD5522 internal switches.
Thank you for your reply.
I'm plannning to use to micro-voltage and micro-ampere multimeter (DMM) which can measure with internal range of AD5522.
I think EUT connects between FOH pin to DUTGND pin.
You can only use the internal range of AD5522 if you are forcing a voltage from the force amplifier so it's not possible to use this as a meter with that range. You can use the external Rsense however. Let me know if this makes sense.
Could you confirm my understanding?
The internal current range can use only forcing voltage mode.
Yes, you only have a current path from the force amplifier to the internal sense resistors.
