Hi all! I was evaluating the AD5749 as current loop driver in substitution to a more space consuming OpAmp solution.
I would like to convert a 0 to 3.3V signal to a 4 to 20mA but I see from the datasheet that the Vref and the Vin should be 0 to 4.096V.
Question: if I use a 3.3V as Vref, can I use a 0 to 3.3V as Vin?
External reference should be exactly 4.096V otherwise accuracy errors will show up in the output.
You can still have an input of 0 to 3.3V but you won't have the full range at the output current…
You can still have an input of 0 to 3.3V but you won't have the full range at the output current. 3.3V input = 17mA output current.
thanks a lot!
