Question about AD5724 Power Control Register

Hi,

I have made a couple of trial boards and tried to operate AD5724 on the board.

I set the DB0 to DB3 of the power control register to "1" but could not get any analog output. However only adding to set DB4 to "1",

I could get expected output value.

- According to the data sheet, DB4 is fixed "0" value. Why I could get the expected output by changing DB4 to "1"?

- Is data sheet not correct regarding the DB4 spec, or I should take another way (not change DB4) to solve this issue?

Regards,

Kazu

    Hi ,

Just want to be sure, are you using AD5724? Or is it AD5724R?

AD5624R's Power Control Register [DB4] is assigned as PUref, which has a default value of 0 which means the internal reference is in power-down mode, it needs to be set to 1 to power it up and get the proper output.

    Cheers,

    Ivan
