Q: This device has a PGA. However, there is no mention of this feature in the datasheet. How do we control this amplifier?
A: The PGA is involved in the software configured dynamically adjustable input range. The lowest three bits of the Analog Input Configuration Byte are the input-range-select bits (R[2:0]). Table 6 shows all the possible input range modes. So when you change these modes, the PGA will adjust accordingly.
