The oversampling digital filter allows to improve the noise performance, increasing the Dynamic Range in 3dB every time the Oversampling Ratio (OSR) is doubled. This comes at the expense of reducing the bandwidth by a factor of 1/OSR. Oversampling Ratio could be as large as 65536 samples to be averaged. In order to gain extra resolution, four extra bits can be enabled. See the Packet Format section of the datasheet for more info
