- There are 3 types of Digital Filters addressing various Application needs.
- Wideband Low Ripple (brickwall) filter would be desired in frequency analysis, which require a very flat pass band response. These are applications such as vibration analysis, SONAR, and Electronic test and measurement. The 20mdB low ripple FIR filter would ensure flat passband and would help user extract all details of the signal.
- SINC5 filter (max ODR = 1MSPS) would be useful for low latency applications such as shock analysis, control loops, or protective relays.
- SINC3 is good for slow or low data rate applications, such as weigh scales and temperature measurement. The 50/60 Hz rejection (using ODR = 50 SPS) further improves accuracy by rejecting the power line frequency.
- A programmable digital filter can also be uploaded, by overwriting the filter coefficients of the Wideband Low Ripple filter, though a series of register writes.
