AD7787: Burnout currents

Question I would like to know what is the use of the burnout current in the AD7787. Answer The burnout currents are there to be used generally before a conversion, to see if the sensor is still present. It can be used for detecting short or open sensor inputs. It's not like a flag or an interrupt though, the user has to enable the current sources and then perform a measurement and look to see if the measurement is the expected measurement.
