Help with DC2395A-C Evaluation Board and incorrect waveform in PScope

Category: Hardware
Product Number: LTC2325-16

Hello,

I am using the DC2395A-C and DC890B for a spectroscopy project. I am trying to bring up the hardware by following the instructions in the User Manual, but the output of the ADC that I see in PScope does not match the input signal from a function generator. I have made no modifications to the board or moved any jumpers. I have a 27.5 MHz, 2 Vpp sine wave as the CLK into J9. I am powering with +/- 7V. I am powering the DC890B in CMOS mode. To test the functionality, I am simply driving a 2 Vpp, 20kHz, 0 DC offset sine wave into the top BNC of channel 3.

The output signal matches the frequency of the input signal, but the amplitude is severely distorted. It is also half-wave rectified. It seems like there is some discrepancy between the board expecting a differential signal versus a single-ended signal.

I would appreciate any help regarding a possible incorrect hardware/software setup or signal driving.

Thank you
