EVAL-AD4134FMCZ does not show up in ACE software

Hi 

1. Connect the J4 connector of the SDP-H1 board to the P8 connector of the powered down EVAL-AD4134FMCZ.

2. Connect the 12 V dc adapter to the SDP-H1 board. The EVAL AD4134FMCZ draws power from the SDP-H1 board and does not require any separate power connection. Are you following this? Connect the USB cable to AD4134. 

3. install the ACE software from Software section of AD4134. You would see as below:

And double click on Eval AD4134 shown on ACE software.  Lett us know if you still face the issue. 

			Connect the 12V Adaptor here.     And stack the AD4134 Eval as show in Fig. AD4134 gets powered using SDPH1 Board plugged in 12V adaptor.

Hi! Even after following the instructions above, it does not show up on ACE.

The leds on the EVAL-AD4134FMCZ board do not light up and on the SDP-H1 only the BF_POWER and the SYS_POWER leds are on. We did get another evaluation board for a DAC that uses the SDP-H1 and that is detected and works perfectly with the ACE software. Is there a possibility that the AD4134FMCZ may be defective?

Can you check on another board as well. Just to isolate the problem. Did you try to click on add Hardware button.

I did click on add Hardware and it only shows the SDP-H1. The SDP-H1 board works with AD3542RFMCZ and it shows up with ACE so I don't think the SDP-H1 is the issue.

Hi, are you able to connect the EVB with ACE? The fully working board with ACE would have these LEDs glowing.

Hi, I understand as when you initiate ACE, the ACE doesn't read the AD4134. This could be because of EEPROM issue. Do you have provision to probe across C53 on AD4134 EVB. If yes and still ACE not able to read AD4134 this could be due to EEPROM read/write issue. So, by any chance do you happen to unplug the AD4134 EVB from the SDPH1 during power on. As a next step, I recommend testing with an alternate AD4134 evaluation board to rule out hardware-related faults.
