I am planning on using the MAX195BEWE+ 16-bit ADC in an application where floating pins are discouraged. The BP/UP/SHDN pin should be left floating for bipolar operation, which is what I need. Is it possible to use 2 equal resistors, 10K for example, to externally hold the pin at the midpoint between VDDD and DNGD, or some other arrangement? Or is the pin internally tied to VDD or GND strongly enough that I can consider it to not be floating when not externally connected?
