LTC2991 Vcc Supply Voltage Range 2.9V to 5.5V

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: LTC2991

Hi,

I currently have 2.4V for the supply voltage on my schematic for the LTC2991.

According to the datasheet, the supply voltage should be in the range of 2.9V to 5.5V.

Is this voltage range a general recommendation, or is it absolutely necessary for the voltage to be above 2.9V?

If the 2.9V minimum is a strict requirement, do you have any suggestions for adjusting my design?

Thank you for your help!

  • Hi Yasinozer,

Unfortunately, the part requires 2.9V - 5.5V as the input.  The undervoltage lockout voltage for the part is at 2.5V and there needs to be a little room around that.  The undervoltage lockout is the point at which the part comes out of reset.  As far as your design is concerned, you will need a higher voltage supply in order to utilize the LTC2991.

    Best regards,

    Brad
