Aside from the compact ADC, channel considerations and the ability to provide a 5V supply, could you please let us know your other design requirements, such as resolution, sample rate, device architecture, and input type?

Hi Rred,

Resolution - 12/14/ 16 bit

Sampling rate -  more than 200 KSPS

Input type - Single ended

And ADC with simultaneous sampling of 4 Input channel ADC operating  with 5 V. 

The parts you suggested are channel sequencer have mux at an input architecture, it won't be able to do simultaneous sampling in my view. Please correct me if Im wrong.

The AD7865 matches my requirements, but the package is too large. Is there a version with the same specifications but in a smaller package?

We’ve tried to find a compact device with a 5V supply; however, this presents design constraints and trade-offs. Devices that offer a higher voltage range, like 5V, tend to have a larger package size compared to those that operate at 3.3V. If possible, could you share your schematic with us? This will help us assist you in designing the signal chain, such as using a 3.3V LDO to accommodate the AD7386-4.

Can I connect both VCC and Vlogic to 3.3 V from a single LDO supply to AD7386-4? As I already mentioned, space constraints are there.

What to do with unused inputs, Shall I connect to ground?

I would still recommend following the power section from its evaluation board. This ensures the performance of the device as it was already tested on our side. EVAL-AD7380-4/EVAL-AD7383-4 Evaluation Board | Analog Devices

On the other hand, if your option is to only use a single LDO, make sure that it satisfies the power requirement of the device. Also, ensure that buffers are used for enough current drive and enough isolation of noises. But again, I would still recommend checking the design files from the link given.

For the unused pins, do you mean like analog inputs? Yes. You should tie them to ground as it may induced fluctuations or unnecessary data from its output.
