Set V- voltage

Question

Hi, 
 I'm using LTC1293 for my application. On datasheet there are not a recommended voltage range for V&ndash; and Vcc supplies, there is only maximum rating value. For this reason I was wondering if they can be different from +/5V. For example, V&ndash;= -4.5V and Vcc= 5.5V?

Hello, LTM4712 . 
 Note 3 states that when using unipolar mode, VCC should be 5V and V- should be 0 or tied to GND. While V- should be -5V if bipolar mode. Specs were tested under these conditions. Beyond these will not guarantee an optimal performance of the device. Please take note of its absolute maximum ratings and Note 7.
