Hello,
I have to measure temperature using RTDs installed within the coils of a 460V AC variable frequency motor.
The current off-the-shelf DAQ module is quite susceptible to noise, especially when the field frequency is not 50 or 60 Hz (they are optimized to reject power line noise)
I am designing an input board with:
- 1 ADC per RTD, 3 wire connection
- Low pass filter in all inputs
- All ADC isolated thru a galvanic isolator
- SPI or I2C interface
- Good resolution so I can use the design in future applications
There are plenty of 24 bit ADC with dual current sources that can achieve good precision.
Since I do not have any previous experience with the Analog's ADC product line, I am free to use any ADC. I would appreciate if there are "drivers" (libraries that will deal with the register settings) or other example code to easy the coding side.
Do you have any suggestions or favorites for this kind of application?
I see the AD7124 is quite popular. I have the CN0554, CN0391, and especially the CN0376 as references.
Thank you for your help.
