DC718C

Thread Summary

The user is working with the DC718C data collection board and P-Scope software, aiming to collect more than 131,072 samples. The final answer confirms that the 131,072 sample limit is due to the software, and suggests using alternative methods like Python or MATLAB directly for higher sample counts. The user also inquires about YouTube tutorials for MATLAB data collection and seeks a recommendation for a new data collection board capable of capturing approximately 1 million samples.

Hello,

Im currently working with the DC718C data collection board, and i'm using P-Scope to collect the data and MATLAB for further processing. I want to know if its possible to collect more than 131072 samples (Which is the maximum amount of samples i can extract from P-Scope), by either using P-Scope or another alternative? The datasheet says. " The Linear Technology supplied PScope evaluation software automatically detects the DC718 and in select cases can also detect the ADC demonstration circuit under evaluation. This system provides for fast and easy performance evaluation of high speed ADCs by collecting up to 128k word samples". So i want to know if the limitation is due to the memory data buffer or simply the P-Scope software.
