AD7779 why linux driver only exist for muxed adc?

AD7768 is also a simultaneous ADC that has linux drivers. There is no direct relation between the type of sampling and the type of drivers available.

Can you share your application requirements?

My requirement are ;

8 or 4 channel simultaneous sampling,
minumun 24 bit delta-sigma ADC,
minimum data rate 1KSPS,
adjustable master-clock frequency,
SPI communication and evaluation board option.

When I look at the Linux page of AD7768, it says that it is a driver for targeting single channel serial interface ADC, it only allows me to make ADC settings over SPI, I cannot read the data output over SPI. It also requires an FPGA to use the evaluation board.

The AD7768 is an 8 channel ADC. Please refer to the product page https://www.analog.com/en/products/ad7768.html

You are correct that you cannot read the output data over SPI using the AD7768.

If you need the linux driver for the AD7779, I will request and check with the product team but that will take some time.
