AD7703 package dimension verification, 9539 D/C

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: AD7703AN

I am attempting to authenticate an AD7703AN ADC for a client, and I want to be certain that I am using the correct package dimension reference for our inspection.

The device is a PDIP package marked with a 9539 date code, with outline dimensions that match 'Figure 18. 20-Lead Plastic Dual In-Line Package Narrow Body (N-20)' diagram from the AD7703 datasheet REV F, revised in 2019.

However, I also have REV E of the datasheet (revised in 2003) and REV D (revised in 1996), in which the PDIP outline dimensions do NOT match the device being inspected.

I'm attempting to locate REV C of the datasheet, to check the dimensions against the correct package diagram from when this device was produced. I am coming up empty handed though, and was wondering if there is a repository of archived Analog Devices datasheets that are publicly available somewhere. I suspect the device package is not authentic based on what I am seeing, but I would like to be completely certain if possible.

  • Hi  ,

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide information about parts in the EngineerZone community based on their markings. We suggest going back to your point of purchase to get this information. ADI only provides warranty coverage or any quality, reliability, failure analysis, applications, or other support on products purchased through ADI authorized distributors and sales offices. To ensure you are receiving unused, legitimate ADI products, please ensure all purchases are made through the ADI authorized distributors and sales offices listed on our website at Sales and Distribution | Analog Devices

You can get more information on this topic on our website at Quality and Reliability Programs | Analog Devices

    Thanks,
    Janine

  • I appreciate your response!

At this point I was mostly just looking for a specific, retired revision of the datasheet for the device in question. I was able to find multiple revisions (A, D, E, F) but not the one for the exact date range of the device in our posession (would need Rev C).

At this time we will just make the best assessment that we can. Thanks!
