When does AD7091R-5 mux selects the next channel?

Hi,

I am using AD7091R-5 ADC in Command mode, having configured the CHANNEL register to acquire channels 0, 1 and 2. The question is: when does the ADC switches the MUXout pin to the next channel?

a) Is it "on the first positive edge of SCL after the ACK" following the Slave Address, i.e. when conversion starts? If so, then signal would not have time to settle drom MUXout to ADCin and hence we would read the previous channel (or an unstable signal).

b) Or it is after the conversion has been made, meaning the Channel Sequencer prepares the next channel in advance? This would make more sense, but I can't find the answer in the datasheet.

    Here is a scenario to clarify  's feedback about the switching of MUX from one channel to another. Let us say, once the conversion time for Channel 0 is finished, then the switch from Channel 0 will transfer to Channel 1; Thus, it is similar from his feedback, "Channel Sequencer prepares the next channel in advance". You can refer to the image below, from its datasheet, for the time of conversion.
