AD7327-EP Input Voltage dip

Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD7327-EP
Software Version: NA

Hi,

AD7327-EP usage configurations:

  1. External RC filter for each channel (R=200 ohms, C=680pF)
  2. CH5 to CH7, configured as DC channels and range are as follows:
  3. CH5 +/- 2.5V
  4. CH6 +/- 10V
  5. CH7 +/- 5V
  6. CLK is 6.6MHz
  7. CS low to CS low is 2.72us

Issue with CH5:

  1. Input voltage applied at CH5, 2.498 VDC from function generator
  2. ADC is configured to capture 8 samples from the same channel (CH5)
  3. The datasheet specifies Track mode starts from 14th rising edge clock cycle.
  4. During this there is a dip in the input voltage observed (Waveforms attached). And it is happening for all the 8 samples. The input is constant 2.48VDC and not changing at all.
  5. Why is this behavior ? any reason ?. Is the internal sampling capacitor discharged every time ?
  6. How much time is required for Input to reach steady state?

Details on Waveforms:

  1. The labels are provided to indicate the signal
  2. The VCH5 is the voltage at the input of ADC CH5, Exactly probed across the external Capacitor.

Thanks
