AD5940 / AD5941 Operation Below Minimum Supply Voltage

Question

Per the datasheet, the AD5940 / AD5941 requires a minimum supply voltage of 2.8V. However, a design I'm working on calls for operation with a supply voltage below this, and I do not wish to use any DC/DC conversion to boost the supply voltage up. 
 Would the A5940 / AD5941 be operational at all at supply voltages below 2.8V?
