MAX11200 signal ringing

Question

There is a load cell connected to the MAX11200. There is the same level of noise over the complete working range. 
 However, if the load cell comes close to zero the converted value starts to ring, then gets very quiet, then starts to ring again and finally shows the typical noise while increasing the load on the load cell.

A test with tunable resistors shows exactly the same behavior. 
 Some setup parameters: 
 * AVDD = 3.3V 
 * DVDD = 3.3V 
 * Vref = 100mV 
 * Vcell = 5V 
 * fSample = 240sps 
 
 What could be the reason for this ringing? Some kind of resonance?
