AD7794BRUZ vs AD7794CRUZ

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: AD7794

I am currently using AD7794BRUZ in our product, but I am considering replacing it with AD7794CRUZ due to availability issues.

My understanding is that C version has higher operating temperature range, and should be otherwise identical. According to the specifications in the datasheet, the C version appears to be slightly worse than B version, but is this because it is specified at 125 °C instead of 105 °C?

So my question is, if I use the AD7794 at operating temperatures up to 50 °C, will the C version be better, worse or the same as B version?

Kind regards,

Valentin

  • Hi Valentin,

The C version is slightly worse than B version because of specifications like the lower CMR and Average input current, higher power requirement for power supply currents, and etc; this is of course, also is depending on your application needs/requirements.

When operating at temperatures up to 50 °C, both B and C version will perform well according to their respective specifications, which is guaranteed from the datasheet.

    Regards,
