It can be done. Could you please post your SPI configurations here? Or cross- check with the SPI configuration that has been made in the above mentioned code (lines 31 to 36)?

Our IT specialist has also tried to help me with the problem, but couldn't get it to work. So I am not 100% familiar with the code.

Hi BUWWHF - Should the SPI_SS macro be 10? I was looking at the pinout of Arduino UNO. Not sure if I am looking at the wrong part number here.

Also- I presume that you are using the Arduino connector on the AD4110-1 board and not the 120- pin SDP-120 connector.

I am not using the Arduino Uno, instead I use the M5 Stack Core 2. I checked the pins with an oszilliscope to see if they work correctly. And I think SS, MISO, MOSI and CLCK are doing what they should do.

Yes I connected the M5 Stack with the SPI pins of the AD4110-1 board.

My university bought the SDP-B eval board but the program for it is not so good that I can work with it. That´s why I tried to program my own SPI interface. But you see things are not going so well...

Now I think I am will buy the SDP-K1 board and use your program as you suggested.

are you still there? I bought as you suggested the SDP-K1 Board, but it won´t work at all.

I connected the two boards via the J2 connector and activated the #define SDP_120 line in the code. I also saw the GPO0 and GPO1 issue (EVAL-AD4110 ERROR WITH DEMO FIRMWARE) and added the lines of code in Mbed Studio.

To test the board I connected AIN+ and AIN- directly to a power supply. Because of that I have to initialize the ADC in the voltage mode. 

But the red LED dissappears only, if I decrease the spi speed in the ad4110_user_config.c from 10 MHz to e.g. 100 kHz.

I think my board is after that in the right mode but the IIO Oscilloscope program doesn´t receive anything form the ADC (as always with me). The DMM tab also shows just crap (-12,500033V what is devinitively not the 0.2V from the power supply).

I really don`t know what I am doing wrong....

I would be happy if you could help me.

The Error LED would go off once you connect appropriate voltage to the analog inputs- (This would glow in case of an over-voltage or under-voltage condition too)

Looks like the SPI communication is not successful here. Could you try making the following connection? and modify the solder on the EVAL-AD4110-1 SL1 to position B ?

IOREF on SDP-K1 goes to +5V on J11 of EVAL-AD4110

GND on SDP-K1 goes to GND on J11 of EVAL-AD4110

+/- 15V power supply is given as it is externally on J14

thanks for your answer. I did everything as you suggested.I soldered SL1 to position B, connected J11 with the SDP Board, started the program.... and the Error LED is still on (just a little bit dimmed). Now if the SDP isn`t connected the red LED is off. 

I have measured IOREF with a multimeter and there are just 1.8V. Shouldn´t at J11 be 5V?

This is the first time I am working with an ADC and I don`t know what I am doing wrong.

The IOREF needs to be 3.3v. Could you please cross check if the VIO_ADJUST Jumper on the SDP-K1 is at 3.3v ?
