Regarding the CRC function of AD4680

Hi All, 
 
 Regarding the CRC function of AD4680, How does it respond in the following two situations. 1. If only CRC Read is enabled (CRC_W=0, CRC_R=1), How does AD4680 respond when MCU only sends 16 clocks to it and takes CS High after 16 clocks? 
 2. If CRC is not used (CRC_W=0, CRC_R=0), How does AD4680 respond when MCU sends 24 clocks to it and take CS High after 24 clocks? 
 
 I know the above are a bit irregular, but will these damage the AD4680?

Hi Leo, 
 When CRC is enabled, the AD4680 requires 24 SCLK cycles to clock out the 16-bit conversion data and the 8-bit CRC. When 16 only 16 SCLK cycles are driven into the device, the data that is clocked out will not include the 8-bit CRC. 
 The AD4680 requires 16 SCLK cycles to clock out the conversion result. If this number of SCLK cycles is exceeded, this is still fine. The device doesn't get damaged, as long as the device is still in power and not violating the abs max rating of the AD4680.
