External power supply for EVAL-AD7606CFMCZ

Hi, 

I think P4 is the two pin external power terminal block (white) with labeled VIN and GND.  It accept 7 V to 9 V dc input which will then be regulated by ADP7118 5 V and 3.3 V LDOs. 

Yes, you can connect AVcc directly on P3 by bypassing the on board regulator. So you have to remove the resistor R9. Please see attached schematic for reference.

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

The information that the EVAL-AD7606CFMCZ could be powered up using the Vin and GND (the white terminal block) is not present in the user guide. Only P4 is mentioned in the user guide. So I was a bit confused.

Could you please provide me any exact source that I can refer to, showing Vin can be used.

Apologies. I meant color white connector in the board. Apologies if it is confusing, but you can check that is VIN if you continuity check for example the rightmost pin of connector with VIN test point (assuming that JP2 link is sey to B. However, by simply looking at the layout and schematic I believe that is the correct P4.

Yes! It is clear from the schematic diagram, actually. But on the actual board or in the layout file, "P4" is not mentioned. That is what confused me a little, but now everything is clear.
