AD7124 internal temperature sensor 2-3C difference

Hello. 

Customer tried to use internal temperature sensor of AD7124.

He compares internal temperature and temperature on the package surface, there is 2-3C difference. 

Is it normal due to  thermal resistance θJC ? How to calculate real termerature if internal known or just need to make offset -3C ?

    To calculate the die temperature using the internal temperature sensor, select the AINP[4:0] and AINM[4:0] bits in the channel register. Once you have obtained the measurement, you can use the equation below to calculate the actual die temperature. 

    Temperature (°C) = ((Conversion − 0x800000)/13,584) − 272.5

    The typical accuracy of this internal temperature sensor is around ±0.5°C.
