Type of power supply recommended for the AD7928?

Question

Hello, 
 I'm planning to use a Low Dropout regulator LT1129 to supply the power to a AD7928. Since the reference Input voltage to this ADC requires +/-1% for specified performance, I wonder if the use of a switching supply is recommended?. 
 How much will impact on the performance if a switching power supply is used.?

Hi, 
 Ideally, we usually recommend to use low noise regulators for ADCs. There are switching regulators that has lower noise (i.e. the noise is lower than the ADC or reference noise itself) that could still use and might not affect the performance. As for AD7928, I think the recommended LDO is ADP7102 which is a replacement for ADP3303 which we have used on our Evaluation Board. and which has confirmed/verified to have guaranteed performance. I'll follow up the product owner if he has other recommendation. 
 However, I would also suggest to ask someone from the Q&A - Power By Linear - EngineerZone (analog.com) as they may able to assist you in designing your power circuitry. They may also have a better understanding on the LT1129 and see if it suits your application requirements.
