SPICE Model for the AD7760's Integrated Differential Amplifier

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to obtain a SPICE Model for the integrated differential amplifier in the AD7760.  I wanted to do some noise simulations and to design the external frontend.  Is it possible to obtain this data ?

    Hi Ajith.

    Sorry, we do not have an available spice model for this. However, AD7760 is using the on-chip amplifier with components as shown in Table 8. May I know what is your application and what's the need for an external front end?

    Thank you for the response. I was studying the possibilty of coupling signals effectively to the input of the AD7760 ADC for best possible dynamic range. If I had the SPICE model of the AD7760's integrated amplifier which modelled its Flicker Noise and Broadband Noise components effectively along with its gain bandwidth, I can use that information to study the integrated noise performance of my preceeding buffer / filter / single-ended to differential converter stages.

    I also wanted to compare if using any of the available state of the art external differential operational amplifiers would be better than using the intrinsic amplifier in terms of Noise and Gain Bandwidth to amplify low signal amplitudes of interest.

    Kindly let me know your thoughts.

    Hi, 

    I understand your concern, however we do not have available model for this product. So the only way to do it is either using a very complicated series of calculations or just evaluate it using our Evaluation Hardware. We also have available recommended drivers for this product listed on the product page. 

    This is quite an old product so I am not sure if there's a plan to develop such in the near future. However, If you want you may also consider using AD7768 or AD7134 which are the newest in our portfolio. The AD7768 products are available in Precision ADC Driver Tool | Analog Devices wherein you can simulate the performance of the ADC using different available drivers in the tool. I think AD7134 can be added there soon. But all of the available/recommended drivers for these products are listed on the product page.
