I'm working on an application where I'll be monitoring the impedance of cells in vitro using custom external electrodes in a 4-wire setup with a target frequency range of 100Hz (or lower) to 100kHz. Initial measurements of the 2000 ohm test resistor in the resistor bank had the attached results
What parameters in SensorPal can I adjust to improve measurement accuracy?
To use SensorPal to do a 4 wire impedance measurement use the Body Impedance technique. Increase the Digital Filter Settings and DFT number to optimize the accuracy at lower frequencies.
None - means SINC3 and SINC2 filter is bypassed
Level 1.1 means Sinc3 setting is 2
Level 1.2 means Sinc3 filter is 4
Yes, SensorPal is configured for the range 100Hz to 200kHz for body impedance measurement. There are firmware examples available where you will have more freedom over the excitation frequency. Check out…
How do the digital filter settings in SensorPal relate to the data sheet? (None/Level1.1/Level1.2)
