Understanding relation between tracking rate and bandwidth of AD2s80

I was reading the article https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/application-notes/75731446AN264.pdf. I understood that bandwidth is  a small signal phenomena, while tracking rate is large signal phenomena and depends on the slope of the integrator (before the VCO). I am unable to understand the relation of BW to tracking rate. As per data sheet , reelation is provided between BW, resolution and tracking rate along with reference frequency.  Can you provide , as how the factors (such as 2:1 for 10 bit resolution)comes from. How to evaluate tracking rate from the transfer function, is it the slope of the time response curve?
