AD7193 offset and zero-scale register.

Although conversion is started and data is read periodically, it is safe to put the offset and zero-scale register of AD7193 once a minute for safety by putting them in between. ?

thank you.

  • Hi Zunda,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

Could you give us more information on the application and use of it?

I am not sure what you mean by putting them in between once a minute. If it is re-writing or calibrating once a minute, then it is not necessary to do so. If you are re-writing the registers then, make sure the ADC should be in idle state or power down mode.

Generally the user calibrates the part when there is change in Gain or Temperature. Why do you want to write it every minute?

  • Thank you for your reply. Japan was in the Obon holiday, and I was late in replying. Perhaps I think that it is considering the destruction of register data due to electrical noise. I asked the need to modify the sources of others. I am overwriting the value at the time of calibration periodically, but I am writing at idle. I don't think it's necessary to do it, but that's the way it was originally, so I'll leave it as it is. Thank you very much. A good day.
