Both devices offer very similar performance level however the AD2S1205 converter was released to automotive through AECQ-100. The AD2S1205 IC is newer device which has some advantages over older AD2S1200 like:

    1. The AD2S1205 has an extended input signal range of +/- 27 % from nominal 3.15 V.

    2. The AD2S1200 has a "189 deg positional error issue where upon complete resolver disconnection and subsequent reconnection the position may be 180 deg out of phase relative to the position before complete resolver disconnection. The AD2S1205 does not have this issue and will always provide the user with the correct position data.

    3. The AD2S1205 offers higher maximum tracking rate specification.
