The AD7193 data sheet claims that there are 5 offset and 5 full scale registers. How are these read and written to?
Hello Jonathan,
the 5 offset registers share the same address. The 5 full scale registers also share the same address. The offet/full scale register accessed depends on the channel selected. So, to access the offset/full scale register for channel 1, select channel 1. Then, if you read the offset/full scale registers, the offset and full scale coefficients associated with channel 1 are read back.
When the device is configured for 4 differential inputs, each channel has its own offset and full scale registers. When the device is configured to have 8 pseudo-differential inputs, channel 1 to channel 3 have dedicated offset and full registers while channels 4 to 8 share the same offset and full scale registers.
